When it comes to a delicious and healthy dinner, fish is always your best bet. It cooks extremely quickly, it's wonderfully nutritious, and so versatile. And salmon is one of my favourite fish that always goes down well in my family.
While I have cooked salmon fillets in various ways, from Baked Honey Mustard Salmon, to Baked Teriyaki Salmon or Grilled Salmon in Yogurt Dill Sauce, these air fryer salmon bites appeal more to kids, as they can also use their fingers to eat them.
Another great way of serving salmon to kids is by turning it into balls, my Baked Salmon Balls are the perfect bite-sized meal for kids on their baby-led weaning journey and older children too.
Now these salmon bites are cooked in the air fryer, as it's a quick and easy way, they only need 7 minutes in the air fryer! That's it, no preheating a massive oven for a handful of bites, the air fryer is such a game changer.

Expert tips
If you don't have an air fryer, you can also cook these salmon bites in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius (390 Fahrenheit) for 10-12 minutes, there is no need to turn the bites over during cooking.
Alternatively, you can also pan-fry them over a medium heat, just make sure they go in a large enough frying pan so that they are in a single layer. They can break easily, so best to just shake the pan gently to ensure they cook on all sides.
Other great flavours for these salmon bites would be honey and soy sauce, chilli sauce, of just add some chilli flakes to the butter garlic sauce for a spicy kick.
