Easter Chocolate Bark made with 3 types of chocolate: white, milk and dark chocolate to create a marble effect, then topped with Cadbury mini chocolate eggs, Smarties mini eggs, Maltesers white and milk chocolate bunnies and Easter sprinkles, a scrumptious no-bake dessert that is rich and luxurious, and a massive crowd pleaser with kids and grown-ups too.

Having grown up in Romania, where Easter is celebrated with various homemade dishes and real eggs dyed red or other different colours, the tradition of Easter chocolate was definitely not something we would be bothered with.
But, after so many years living abroad, I now celebrate the Romanian Orthodox Easter, with all our yummy dishes, and the Chocolate Easter aka the Catholic/Protestant Easter. So, it'a win win really, as we all get to celebrate twice, given that our Easter falls on a different date usually.
So this indulgent chocolate bark is something I would definitely make for the Chocolate Easter, it's fun, it's super easy and quick to make, and it goes down with literally everyone.
You can go as big as you wish with a chocolate bark, it's a super versatile recipe that can be tweaked to one's liking or available ingredients. Plus, it's also a great up of using up the leftover chocolate after Easter.
You can make a chocolate bark for literally every season depending on the ingredients available, my Halloween chocolate bark went down a treat with us.

Now, I always found it time-consuming to melt the chocolate over bain marie, it's a straightforward process, but not the quickest, as you need a low temperature to ensure a smooth finish.
But this new technique for melting chocolate has literally blown my mind, it's easy peasie, quick, failproof, and you know for sure that you are guaranteed to have a perfectly smooth melted chocolate.

Ingredients used

- white, milk and dark chocolate - I used chocolate bars of 150 g each, but you can use any other chocolate you have around, as long as it's spread in a nice thin layer
- mini eggs - there are lots of mini egg options out there, with Cadbury being the most popular choice, but other brands now offering more choices
- Easter bunnies - I chose Matesers chocolate bunnies, but you can go for whatever else is out there
- Easter sprinkles - always a big hit with kids, and it makes the bark so colourful and pretty
Step-by-step photos and instructions
- line a large baking tray with non-stick paper, arrange the chocolate bars onto it, and pop the tray in the preheated oven at 100 degrees Celsius (210 Fahrenheit) for 8 minutes
- use a lollipop stick to mix the chocolates to create a marble effect, and ensure that you have a nice thin layer of melted chocolate
- top with the mini eggs, chocolate bunnies and sprinkles
- refrigerate for at least 1 hour so the chocolate can set well

Expert tips
All ovens are different, so I would recommend you keep an eye on it, a thinner bar of chocolate will melt a lot quicker, so it might not need the 8 minutes in the oven.
You can also melt the chocolate in any other way that is convenient for you, you can go for bain marie, or a microwave, or even an electric chocolate melting pot.
Once the chocolate is set, you can slice it, but if it's not consumed in one go, keep the leftover chocolate bark refrigerated, to avoid the chocolate melting, especially if it's kept in a warmer room.
Using a non-stick paper to line the baking tray is crucial, the bark will be super easy to peel off once set, but it's virtually impossible to peel it off a baking tray.
