Cheesecake Dip, a light and refreshing summer dessert made with only 4 ingredients. It's a fantastic last-minute treat that is perfect for dipping biscuits/ cookies / pretzels or fruit, and it can be whipped up for any party, BBQ, potluck or picnic. Family-friendly, and ready in just 5 minutes, this sweet cream cheese dip is absolutely delicious.

If you like a classic cheesecake recipe, you will absolutely love this cheesecake dip, which is as delicious, but even quicker and easier to put together. A cheesecake dip is basically a cheesecake filling minus the biscuit / cracker base.
And the best thing about it is that it can be enjoyed straight away, no need to wait for it to settle, all you need it one bowl, and job done! It really can't get any better than that.
Summer is all about recipes that can be whipped up quickly, and ideally without having to turn the oven on, after all it's hot enough outside as it is. And this no-bake treat ticks all the boxes here.
I opted for a simple, but classic vanilla flavour, but you can go as fancy as you wish, any flavour that you'd like in a cheesecake can be used here: lemon, chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, caramel, you name it!
It really is the best dessert recipe for summer entertaining and board grazing. I served mine with shortcake cookies, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, but it can also be part of a more elaborate charcutterie board.

Ingredients overview

- cream cheese - I used Philadelphia cream cheese, but you can use any other brand as well
- cream - the most popular option in the UK is double cream, in the US heavy cream is the best option, or even whipped cream
- icing sugar- or confectioners', powdered sugar - make sure it's not granulated sugar, or the cheesecake dip will feel grainy
- vanilla extract - or any other extract of your choice
- to serve: biscuits / cookies, berries
Step-by-step photos and instructions
- add the cream to a large mixing bowl
- use a hand mixer to beat the cream until it forms soft peaks
- add the cream cheese, sift the icing sugar in, and add the vanilla extract
- beat again briefy to incorporate

Why you'd love this recipe
- it requires only 4 ingredients, which are easily-available in any supermarket
- it's a no-bake recipe, perfect for summer
- super quick to make: it's ready in 5 minutes maximum
- it's family-friendly; perfect for fruit platters or charcutterie boards
Expert tips
I highly recommend using full-fat cream cheese for this recipe, the lighter versions are not as creamy, and they won't be whipped as well.
Do not overbeat the cream, as it can split or become grainy. It's best to beat it until it holds soft peaks, it will be beaten again with the rest of the ingredients anyway.
You can make the cream ahead of time, but I would consume it within a day, as the fresh cream will not keep its white colour for long, and it won't be as appealing.
