These succulent Air Fryer Bone in Pork Chops are deliciously tender and simply melting in your mouth. No fancy ingredients here, just a simple seasoning to bring out the best flavours. A recipe that you will be making again and again, that's for sure!
Another air fryer recipe for a frugal quick dinner for those busy nights when you only have left enough energy to put together a simple dish that will ticks boxes with everyone in the family.
Pork chops, apart from being super easy and quick to cook, they are also a big hit with meat lovers. They are meaty and chunky, and they can pair well with literally tons of sides to create a fantastic meal.
I have 2 other pork chops recipes, but they are cooked in the oven: Baked Pork Chops with Onion Gravy and Honey Mustard Pork Chops. Cooking the pork chops in the air fryer is a no-brainer, and so convenient too!
No need to heat up a huge oven just for 2 pork chops, the air fryer is just perfect here: they cook quickly and there is literally 0 fuss. You could go for any sauce or marinade you like, but sometimes, simple is better, and a basic seasoning is all you need.

Ingredients used
- pork chops: I used bone-in pork chops, as they are way more flavourful and stay juicier than boneless chops
- olive oil: for drizzling over the pork chops, feel free to use any other oil of your choice
- salt and pepper - the good old basic seasoning I simply can't cook without
- paprika: for a bit of colour and more flavour - you can also use hot or smoked paprika, rather than the regular sweet paprika I used here
Step-by-step photos and instructions
- arrange the pork chops in the air fryer
- season with salt, pepper and paprika, and drizzle over olive oil
- flip the chops over, and repeat onto the other side too
- cook at 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit) for 10 minutes, then flip the pork chops onto the other side and cook for a further 5 minutes
- flip the fork chops on more time, then increase the temperature to 200 degrees Celsius and cook for 5 more minutes so that the pork chops are cooked through and have a lovely golden brown touch
- leave to rest for a few minutes before serving
Expert tips
The pork chops I used where quite big and chunky, so if you use chops that are way smaller, you will have to adjust the time accordingly, as they will cook way quicker, and might not need more than 15 minutes in total.
Leave the pork chops to rest a bit once they are out of the air fryer, so they can release their juices and become really nice and tender.
What to serve with air fryer pork chops
We served our pork chops with stewed cabbage for a delicious low-carb dinner, but you can go as hearty as you wish. Other sides we absolutely love are: creamy mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, any salad of your choice, rice, bulgur wheat, couscous and so much more.
