Halloween Chocolate Bark

Halloween Chocolate Bark, a fun no-bake treat that comes together really quickly with only melted chocolate and Halloween edible decorations like sprinkles and googly eyes. It's an easy Halloween activity to get the kids involved in, and it's really delicious!

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup Halloween sprinkles
  • ¼ cup edible googly eyes
  • ¼ cup edible sugar decorations

Instructions

  • Break the chocolate bars into pieces, and add them to a bowl set over a pot of simmering water on a low heat.
  • Allow the chocolate to melt completely.
  • Line a baking tray with non-stick parchment paper and spread the melted chocolate in a thin layer.
  • Sprinkle the edible decorations over the melted chocolate, then refrigerate the chocolate to set for at least 1 hour.
  • Once set, break the chocolate into shards.

Notes

  • Melting the chocolate has to be a slow process, a high heat will make the chocolate grainy and will not melt as smoothly as it should.
  • Make sure the bowl does not touch the bottom of the pan - I always have the heat set on low, even if that means it will take a bit longer for the chocolate to melt.
  • You really need a non-stick paper to spread the chocolate over, once set, it will be super easy to remove it, if the chocolate is spread straight onto a tray, it will be pretty hard to do anything afterwards.
