Ingredients

  • 1 cooked ham ( I used a 1.5 kg / 3 lb joint of cooked ham)
  • ½ cup marmalade
  • 3 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice ( or pumpkin spice)
  • ¼ cup whole cloves

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (390 Fahrenheit).
  • To make the glaze, add the marmalade, honey, orange juice, dijon mustard and mixed spices to a pan set over a medium heat.
  • Mix well and let the mixture simmer for 7-8 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
  • Use a sharp knife to remove the rind off the cooked ham, then score diamonds into the fat.
  • Insert a whole clove into each diamond.
  • Use a brush to glaze the ham really well, then bake the ham for 25 minutes until the ham is golden.

Notes

  • It is crucial to use a cooked ham for this recipe, if you have a raw joint of gammon, this has to be cooked beforehand. Once the ham is cooked, then you can follow the instructions on how to glaze it.
  • The glaze only adds more flavour to the ham, it will not cook it. Once ready, the ham can be enjoyed either warm or cold, it's up to you.
