- ½ cup peanuts
- ½ cup cashew nuts
- ½ cup pistachios
- ½ cup pecans
- ½ cup almonds
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoon honey
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius (325 Fahrenheit).
In a mixing bowl, add all the nuts, honey and maple syrup and mix well to coat.
Line a baking tray with non-stick paper, spread the nut mixture over and bake them for 40 minutes.
Remove them from the oven and leave them to cool down completely.
Add the cooled nuts to a mixing bowl.
Melt the chocolate, then pour it over the mixed nuts.
Mix well to coat.
Line the baking tray with another non-stick paper, then add a tablespoon of the chocolate nut mixture.
Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
Refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
- Handle the tray with care when you take it out of the oven, the maple and honey coating makes the nuts really hot, and can cause burns. Allow them to cool down completely, they will become even crunchier.
- It might seem that there isn't enough chocolate for the amount of nuts used, but not to worry, once they chocolate sets, the clusters hold together really well, and won't fall apart at all.
