French Toast Waffles

French Toast Waffles, a romantic breakfast or brunch for Valentine's Day. Super easy to make, and ready in only 5 minutes, this little treat is a great way to say "I love you".

Ingredients

  • 2 small eggs (or one large egg)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 thick slices of white bread
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (and extra to drizzle over)

Instructions

  • Crack the eggs and add them to a bowl.
  • Whisk it slightly, then add the milk and cinnamon and whisk again for a few seconds. Add the maple syrup.
  • Dip the slices of bread into the bowl to coat both sides.
  • Add the slices to the waffle machine, and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  • Transfer the waffles on a plate and dust some powered sugar and cinnamon over.
  • Drizzle some honey or maple syrup over as well, or any syrup.
  • Serve immediately.
