Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice krispies
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • oil for brushing
  • chocolate eggs for decorating

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate and butter over a pan of simmering water.
  • Remove from the heat, add the golden syrup and combine everything together.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture over the rice krispies, and mix well.
  • Lightly oil a 6-hole muffin tin, divide the warm mixture evenly, pressing gently with your fingers or a spoon to shape a bird's nest.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • Use a sharp knife to ease up the edges, then fill the nests with chocolate eggs.
