How to Make Homemade Noodles

Learn how to make homemade noodles with only 3 ingredients - quick, easy, and they taste just like the ready-made noodles. My egg noodle recipe is fail-proof, and fun to make too. No need for a noodle/pasta maker, you can make delicious egg noodles just using a rolling pin. You can use them fresh, or dry them up for later use, it's up to you. These homemade egg noodles are absolutely delicious with any sauce or in a nice stir fry.

Ingredients

  • 100 g plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Sift the flour, make a well in the middle, and crack the egg in.
  • Add the flour, then use a fork to bring the ingredients together.
  • Use you hands to knead it into a dough, kneading for at least 10 minutes, so you can get a smooth dough that does not stick at all to the hands or the work surface.
  • Cover the dough with clingfilm, and leave to rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Dust the work surface with flour, and divide the dough in half.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll the first half of the dough really thinly.
  • Roll the dough into a sausage, then slice it thinly with a sharp knife.
  • Stretch the noodles, and leave them to dry for at least 15 minutes if you use them straight away.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to the boil, add the noodles, then boil until the noodles are al dente or have the desired texture.
