Halloween Eyeball Oreo Truffles

Halloween Eyeball Oreo Truffles made with oreo cookies and coated in melted white chocolate, then decorated with edible eyes and colourful icing, some spooky Halloween treats that are frightfully delicious. Quick and super easy to make, this no-bake dessert will go down a treat with the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 2 packets of oreo biscuits/cookies (300 g, 10 oz)
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • 1 bar white chocolate (150 g, 5 oz)
  • edible eyes to decorate
  • coloured writing icing to decorate

Instructions

  • Remove the cream off the oreo biscuits using a knife, then add the biscuits to a food processor.
  • Blitz until you have fine crumbs.
  • Use your hands to shape 12 balls.
  • Break the chocolate into pieces and add them to a bowl set over a pan of simmering water.
  • Leave the chocolate to melt over a slow heat until smooth.
  • Coat the balls in chocolate, and arrange them on a tray lined with non-stick paper until they set.
  • Squirt a blob of coloured icing on top, and top with an edible eye.
  • Use red icing to trace lines that resemble blood veins.

Notes

  • These truffles are incredibly rich and sweet, despite their gruesome appearance. The mixture might feel too hard and dry at first, but the truffles stay incredibly moist for a few days.
  • If you are not making them for Halloween, you can leave to truffles simple, just coated in melted chocolate, either white, milk or dark, and you have some impressive bite-sized treats for any occasion.
