Tuna Dip

A super easy tuna dip recipe with cream cheese and spring onions, and a lemon kick. It's ready in less than 5 minutes, and can be served either with crackers, or as a spread with crostini or a simple toast. Quick, tasty, perfect for a hungry crowd.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna (110 g each - 4 oz) or one large can of tuna
  • ½ tub soft cream cheese (180 g, 6 oz a tub - 90 g, 3 oz for the recipe)
  • 2 spring onions
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Chop the spring onions and add them to a bowl together with the flaked tuna, mustard, cream cheese and seasoning. Squeeze the lemon and mix well.
  • Squeeze the lemon in and mix well.
  • Serve the dip cold with crackers, toast, crostini or raw veggies.

Notes

  • Make sure you drain the tuna well before adding the other ingredients to it, otherwise the dip will be too watery, and the cream cheese won't bind the ingredients well anymore.
  • Also, depending on the type of cream cheese you use, if it's a bit watery, make sure you drain that too, for the same reasons listed above.
