FRENCH ONION SOUP -no wine-

A comforting soup for the cold season

INGREDIENTS: onions garlic beef broth flour olive oil butter salt black pepper sugar

Peel and chop 5 large onions

It may look like a lot of onions, but the more, the better!

Melt the butter and add the oil

Add the chopped onions,  salt and sugar, and cook on a low heat with the lid on

Add the chopped garlic and continue to cook 

In goes the flour

Pour in the broth and cook for a further 20 minutes

Grill the cheesy bread slices

And there you have it, heaven in a soup bowl!
