My ham cheese toastie has suddenly become my favourite breakfast . It’s so delicious, filling, and super easy to make.

It happens sometimes that I become so fond of a certain food that I tend to have it over and over again until I start hating it. Although, if l allow a considerable break, I may like it again. I so hope it won’t happen this time that I cannot possibly eat my toastie, as I just love it. Who doesn’t like a yummy breakfast to gather energy for the day?

In the UK and not only, sandwiches are so popular. No mess, no fuss, easy breakfast and lunch, especially for working people. No wonder why sandwich shop businesses are so successful. In cities at least, you have sandwich shops one next to another almost, with massive amounts of sandwiches being bought every day.

You will surely know what I am taking about if you happened to go out at lunch time and had to face a massive queue in every single food shop. And they are not that cheap, really. Good ones could cost you up to Ā£4, which is quite ridiculous, if you ask me. So why not make one at home and pack it with you at work?

I do prefer toasties though, I love their crispiness, so comforting and delicious. Cheese ones are the best, there is nothing tastier than the chewy melted cheese. Only writing about it makes me hungry, I could do with another toastie right now šŸ™‚Ā I used gherkins for this toastie, but any other pickle would do. Funny how with pickles I have a love and hate relationship, depending on my mood.

To make this toastie you can either use a sandwich toaster, if you have one, or the traditional way of frying it in a pan. I guess that having a sandwich toaster saves you both time and headaches. More breakfast ideas? How about a nice omelet? Or perhaps some scrambled eggs? Let’s start!

I am exactly like you, I eat especially at breakfast sometimes the same thing everyday, until I hate it, and then after some time, I can eat it again.
ps. You should add a follow button so that people would follow you easier.

Thank you, Silvia! I am afraid that, since I am self-hosted, I can only be followed via e-mail. I used to have the version, but since I switched to I can not longer have the follow me button, which is such a shame šŸ™
