Decadent Coconut Truffles Recipe

No-baked coconut truffles, a sweet present not only for your better half, but also for friends and family. Just 4 ingredients, and you have the perfect recipe to win anybody’s heart.

Just make sure you don’t eat these coconut truffles up yourself, they can easily get you addicted to them. I always find myself buying a box of chocolates or sweets when I have no idea what else to buy as a present, after all, you can never go wrong with that.

So why not get the box ready yourself? A red heart-shaped one is just perfect to impress your loved one, no matter what the occasion is. After all, love is not celebrated only on Valentine’s Day, right?

If you love coconut, you must try these truffles. What I love about them is how the bitterness of the cocoa powder goes so well with the sweetness of the desiccated coconut and condensed milk. I used to find the condensed milk too sweet for my liking, and preferred to use the light version, which was less sweet.

Even so, you really must not add any more sugar.  For this recipe. however, the cocoa powder does the trick, so no need for the light condensed milk. So easy to prepare them, no baking required.

These coconut truffles remind me of the Brazilian brigadeiros, which are similar in shape and taste, but use a different technique. While for these truffles all you need to so is combine the ingredients together, shape into balls, dust in cocoa powder, and job done, the brigadeiros have to be cooked first until the chocolate base thickens a bit.

But it’s safe to say that both recipes are scrumptious, and perfect choice for any party, where messy desserts are not such a good idea. They keep well in the fridge, ideally in an air-tight plastic container, so they don’t dry out quickly.

Don’t you just love desserts that are quick and easy to make? And no bake whatsoever!!!
